Does Mr. Pibb + Red Vines still = crazy delicious in the new Narnia? What is the Wii good at? Steven Spielberg knows! Plus, the return of the Forum.
This week in Movies:
Alex, Dan, and Jeff spend a lazy Sunday checking out the new Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian. Does it out-do the first film, or is it just more Lord of the Rings Lite?
A trailer for Walden Media's City of Ember has the guys intrigued.
This week in Video Games:
It is wall-to-wall Wii with two unique titles that could only be accomplished on Nintendo's console. First up, Alex, Dan, and Jeff get their virtual Jenga on with EA and Steven Spielberg's Boom Blox.
Then, the release of the first slate of WiiWare downloadable games brings a pleasant surprise in the form of Lost Winds.
Plus:
A few (not so) rapid fire questions directly from the Open Mailbag thread in the TRS forum.

"Haha, small world! Christina Mall the only thing to do in town?
I never knew there were so many "Merlinners" on the forums. :D"
I lived in Dover for a while, I spent plenty of time getting lost and freaking my parents out, at Christiana Mall. The 'plaything' area was one of the best playareas in a mall ever, for a 6 yr old. There was also a shoestore for kids, with a big plaything inside it, and I used to hang out there alot, while the parents shopped. I saw ET at the theatres at Christiana Mall I think.

Dude, a friend of mine at UofM was from North East, and I actually visited there when she and another friend of mine got married. (I think they're in Elkton now). So is Christiana Mall still the only thing to do up there? :p
Although I think Jim Palmer is awesome, it weirded me out that my grandmother would keep his "Fitness" book on her coffee table. I think it was like soft-core porn for the ladies.

Dontya noe thet thet's a cawmon tum dare, hon?
(Translation: Don't you know that that's a common term there, hon?)
OK, I don't really talk like that, but having had friends and family living in all parts of the state, I can do a pretty good heavy Bawl'mer accent. (And some friends from Baltimore use "Baltimoron" to refer to folks who talk like that.)
My fave is "Pitcher bain suit on were gawn dan d'oshin hon!"
(Translation: "Put your bathing suit on; we're going down the ocean, hon!"

Three Baltimorons in this house hon! ;)
I used to live in Essex, my family and I moved up to Cecil County some years back though. Still go into Essex/the city all the time though. :)

I agree with what was mentioned on the show about Boom Blox. This is a totally RAD and addicting game. The wife and I have been playing it a ton. I highly recommend this for all the Wii owners.

I found the movie quite enjoyable, me and a few of my friends spent most of the movie making fun of it.

Thanks for the complement, it's not a common saying here in Baltimore as far as I know, my friends and I just started calling ourselves that.
