This was my thoughts exactly - at least they went with projectile weapons sans particle weapons. Not a fan of particle weapons.

Ender's Game is one of my favorite books. Perhaps best when one is a bit younger, but still a very cool read (from an author who ... let's ignore that shall we?) Avoid spoilers and do check it out.

The fact that it is DX10/Vista or Win7 only is ... disappointed let's say.
Hey, it's only $20, but it I think you need good system specs (check the dev studio) - I'm still hanging onto XP atm so no go from me.

I cut my teeth on Descent and I've wanted a game like this (360 degree of freedom) for a long time.

Just celebrated my son's b-day with him, we did a fun glow in the dark minigolf game. He recieved a ton of gifts, most especially lego

and a bunch of other stuff. I never had all this stuff and I doubt we're going to have a party as big as this year again. He turned 6 and I think he'll start expecting this much stuff if we let this go on for much longer. Still, it was great to see him get so into this stuff.

Enders game is great, if Orson Scott Card wasn't such a d-bag I'd be reading the rest of his stuff as well, he's a great writer, just not my kind of human being.
